Why a “Cleaner Burn” is a Standard We Build By

Every candle tells a story long before you light it.

For us, the foundation matters just as much as an incredible scent throw. The wax chemistry, the wick performance, the quality ingredients, the burn profile, the way fragrance binds to plant-based wax, and how cleanly it combusts in your home.

Wildfound began with the idea of candles that are kinder to our home, blending beautifully, burn cleaner, and fit comfortably into everyday life, pets, sensitivities and all.

So today we're taking you inside the process.

This is the science, the safety, and the processes behind every Wildfound candle, from wax formulation and CLP compliance to the fragrance blends in our signature scents:

2. The Fragrance Oils: IFRA-Approved

Every Wildfound scent blend was developed with IFRA standard fragrance oils, then safety-tested against:

  • SDS (Safety Data Sheets)
  • IFRA Certification Oils
  • Allergen declarations
  • EU CLP guidelines

Each oil in our scent blend was chosen on purpose.

This is why we confidently label each candle as:

  • CLP compliant
  • IFRA compliant
  • Allergen transparent
  • Vegan
  • Cruelty Free
  • Safe for home use when burned as directed

3. The Wicks: Cotton, Lead-Free & Chosen for Perfect Combustion

Your wick determines:

  • how evenly the candle burns
  • how fragrance diffuses
  • how long your candle lasts

Wildfound uses lead-free, natural-coated cotton and wooden wicks designed for clean, even combustion in plant-based wax blends.

Each wick is tested repeatedly and recorded across multiple burns.

If it tunnels, mushrooms heavily, or burns too fast, it doesn’t make the cut.

How to get the cleanest, longest burn

Every Wildfound™ candle is natural, plant wax, tested repeated and so you can enjoy more, while impacting the air quality in your home less.

For best performance, always:

  • Trim your wick to 5mm
  • Allow a full melt pool on first burn
  • Keep away from drafts
  • Store in a cool, dry area
  • Safely distinguish when 10mm remains
